Southern India is an exotic blend of great civilizations, rich culture and historical heritage.  The tour begins at Bangalore – India’s Silicon City and guides you through the peaceful Hoysala temples, the Palace of Mysore, the greenery of Wayanad and ends at Calicut, basking in the tranquil setting of the Arabian Sea.


Day 1: Bangalore (Bengaluru) - Welcome to Bangalore.  Arrive anytime.
Day 2: Bangalore / Hassan. - Tour of Bangalore and Shravanabelagola
Day 3, 4: Hassan / Mysore - Depart for Mysore with stops at Belur & Halebid. View the incredible templeswith carving of Hindu mythology scriptures.
Days 5,6: Wayanad - Nested in North East Kerala with vast stretches of greenery. Known for its mist-clad mountains, waterfalls, stone age sites and lush coffee, tea and spice plantations.
Day 7,8: Calicut (Kozhikode) - Known for the legendary explorer Vasco De Gama visit. With its rich and vibrant history seen throughout the region from historic temples, mosques and churches to the cuisine that is a blend of Dravidian, Portuguese and Muslim heritage.


DAY 1: ARRIVE BANGALORE: Welcome to Bangalore! You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight – Bangalore.

DAY 2: BANGALORE / HASSAN: Enjoy your sightseeing tour of Bangalore city. The Garden City of India visiting the Lal Bagh which has a variety of old Trees, Fountains, Lotus Pools, Terraces and an assortment of tropical herbs and sub-tropical herbs. Also see the Government buildings and the Maharajas Palace. Later the departure for Hassan en route visiting Sravanabelgola. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Overnight – Hassan.

DAY 3: HASSAN / MYSORE: This morning we will proceed for a sightseeing tour of Belur and Halebid. Beluris 38 kilometers from Hassan, a temple town famous for its exquisite temples. It is also known as Dakshina Varanasi. King Vishnuvardhana built the Channakeshwara temple in 1117 AD to commemorate his conversion from Jainism to Vaishnavism. The star shaped homogenous architectural beauty raised on a platform carved in black stone with 650 charging elephants that are different from each other and in the temple dome inside four famous figures of Shantala Devi's voluptuous beauty, queen of King Vishnuvardhana are marvelous.

Next stop is Halebid, which is also known as Dwara Samudra, the wealthy capital of Hoysalas. The Hoysaleshwara temple stands on a platform like a casket in shining black stone carved with variety of gods and goddesses, animals, birds and dancing girls. There is a museum on the lawns with 12th century sculptures and gold coins in use at that time. One km from Halebid is Jain Basti hill built in the 8th century surrounded by gleaming carved black stone pillars. Later we depart for Mysore and upon arrival check-in at your hotel.  Overnight – Mysore.

DAY 4: MYSORE: Your morning tour of Mysore City takes you to the Palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12.The Palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu andsaracenic style of architecture with archways, dome turrets, colonnades and sculptures, which are magnificent.  Visit the Art Gallery, drive up to Chamundi Hill to see the Chamundeshwari Temple and a panoramic view of Mysore.  On your way back, see the Nandi Bull. Overnight - Mysore.

This morning drive to Wayanad. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight - Wayanad.

DAY 06: WAYANAD: We will depart for a sightseeing tour of Wayanad - The Eddakal Caves (closed on Monday’s & all Public Holiday’s), dating back to the Neolithic period – 3000 BC – the half hour walk uphill to the caves is a great trek, and the ancient rock etchings make the walk worthwhile. A 9th century Jain Temple in Sultans Battery, presently under the Archeological Survey of India, is a heritage site. It is built in the Vijayanagara architectural style, and was used by Tippu Sultan as his Battery, and hence the town derived its name. (Earlier called Ganapathivattam) Visit Uravu, a non-government organization, promotes social enterprises based on value addition of local, natural resources, especially bamboo, the "green gold". Overnight - Wayanad

DAY 07: WAYANAD / CALICUT: This morning we will drive to Calicut and upon arrival check-in at your hotel. In the afternoon we will embark on a sightseeing tour of Calicut. Visit Kappad - the place where Vasco da Gama set foot for the first time when he came to India on May 27, 1498. There is a small stone monument at the beach to commemorate that event. The Museum is located on the East Hill. Overnight – Calicut.

Your day at leisure to pursue independent activities. Later departure transfer to the airport for you onward flight, filled with beautiful memories.
