DAY 01: Depart USA. Take an international flight from your hometown to Rome, Italy. Your airline will serve you meals, beverages and snacks along with onboard entertainment.” |
DAY 2: ROME: Upon arrival in Rome, you will be met by your tour leader who will assist with your arrival transfer. Rest of the day free to explore the city with your tour Leader. Welcome Dinner at typical restaurant in Rome |
DAY 03: ROME: After breakfast you will join your tour leader for morning tour of the ancient ruins of Rome, featuring the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, the Imperial Forum and a visit to the insideof the Colosseum. You will continue on to the Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus and the Aventine Hill and the Trevi Fountain. Rest of the day free. |
DAY 04: ROME/VATICAN: After breakfast, meet your guide for trip to St. Peters and the Papal Audience. Following the Papal blessing, join your guide for a private, guided tour of the wonders of theVatican Museum. The Vatican Museums represent the largest art collection in Europe with over 65.000 masterpieces: The Bernini Staircase of the XVI century — The Candelabra Gallery with frescos andstatues — The Tapestry Gallery dating back to the XVI and XVII century — The Historical Maps, work of IgnazioDanti — The Sistine Chapel built in XV century by Pope Sixtus and adorned by Michelangelo, Botticelli, Perugino and Ghirlandaio — St. Peter’s Basilica the largest Church all over the world, with millions of golden mosaics and several Tombs of Popes where lies the most important Statue of Michelangelo, “The Pieta”. DAY 05: ROME/ASSISI/FLORENCE: After breakfast take a transfer thru the picturesque Umbrian countryside to Assisi, where you will join your tour leader for a guided tour of the Assisi and the Basilica of San Francesco and Basilica di Santa Chiara. St. Francis, founder of the Franciscan Brothers, is the patron saint of Assisi. Although he was the son of a noble, he renounced his worldly possessions and took a vow of poverty. St. Clare, founder of the Little Sisters of the Poor or “Poor Clares” and a follower of St. Francis, also dedicated her life to charity and helping the poor. DAY 06: FLORENCE: Breakfast at the hotel. Guided walking tour to one of the most famous cities in the world, cradle of the Italian Renaissance. The tour includes a visit of the magnificent downtownincluding the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with Brunelleschi’s splendid Duomo and Baptistry with the famous bronze doors, Giotto‘s Belfry, Piazza dellaSignoria, with the great Loggia, the Museum of the Academy with the statue of David by Michelangelo and the Ponte Vecchio. Afterwards, explore on your own the other charming streets and markets of Florence. |
DAY 07: FLORENCE/SIENAI/SAN GIMIGNANO/WINE TASTING: Back to your hotel in Florence. |
DAY 08: FLORENCE/VERONA/VENICE: Florence/Verona/Venice: After breakfast at your hotel, take a leisurely drive to Verona and enjoy a tour of the town, including a visit to the Juliet famous balcony. Continue onto Venice, where you will you will experience a private water-taxi transfer to your hotel. |
DAY 09: VENICE: After breakfast we start at the Piazza San Marco the heart of San Marco the heart of Venice andenjoy the rich architecture that surrounds it. We visit the Doges Palace, an extravagantGothic Renaissance palace that symbolizes the glory days of Venice. Inside we enjoy the ornately decorated walls and ceilings covered by works of great artists including the world’s largest oil painting,the 23×75 foot Paradise by Jacopo Tintoretto. We see the prison where Casanova was held before his daring escape. Time for lunch on your own. The remainder of the afternoon free to self—discoverVenice.
