DAY 02: DELHI: This morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings.Then drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, the Laxmi Narayan Temple, the Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutab Minar. DAY 03: DELHI – JAIPUR: Today we will drive you to Jaipur. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight – Jaipur. |
DAY 04: JAIPUR: Take an early morning excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali. The highlight of the visit is to take a ride on gaily decorated elephant to the ramparts of the Fort. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Among the principal sights are the Jantar Mantar or the Observatory, The Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, The City Palace & Museum. Jaipur is also a major center of precious and semi-precious stones, jewelry, cotton textiles and the typical Blue Pottery. Overnight – Jaipur. |
DAY 05: JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA: This morning we will drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of Mughal India. Among the principal attractions of Fatehpur Sikri are the large audience halls, palaces, the Mosques, the tomb of Salim Chishti, The Panchmahal, and the Buland Darwaza, which is among the biggest gates. DAY 06: AGRA: In the morning we will depart for asightseeing tour of Agra visiting the Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, this beautiful mausoleum is built of pure white marble and is an architectural marvel. Built in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jehan. (Taj Mahal is closed on Friday)
Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 – 1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar’s period apart from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the Jehangir Mahal. It is the biggest private residence in the complex and its architecture indicates strong influences from Hindu overtones. Overnight – Agra.
DAY 07: AGRA – JHANSI – ORCHHA – KHAJURAHO: Early morning you will be transferred to the Agra railway station to board train Shatabdi Express to Jhansi. Assistance will be provided upon arrival at Jhansi railway station and you will be driven to Khajuraho en-route visiting Orchha. Orchha is well known for its graceful monuments, which displays unique and exclusive architectural grandeur. Elaborately decorated monuments with domes, brackets, pillars, arch and ledges the place shows the influence of different architectural styles. Jehangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chattries has a spectacular view of soaring temples spires and cenotaphs. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Overnight – Khajuraho.
DAY 08: KHAJURAHO – VARANASI: This morning we will depart for a sightseeing tour of Khajuraho visiting Eastern & Western Group of Temples. Western Group: is the best known as it is to this group that the largest and most typical Khajuraho temples belong the Kandariya Mahadeo. Perfectly symmetrical, it soars 31 meters high. The main shrine is in an almost perfectly state of preservation. This shrine has an exquisitely carved entrance arch with a multitude of themes: celestial beings, lovers, serenading musicians’ movement captured in stones and frozen in time, yet retaining the warmth of pulsating life. The stones seem to have taken on the sensuousness of the carved figures.

DAY 09: VARANASI: Early morning at sunrise take a boat-ride on Holy River Ganges. In Varanasi life and various activities revolve around the river. Life begins before dawn when thousands of pilgrimsand devoteescome down to the river to offer early morning prayers. Also visit the famous ghats to enjoy spectacular view of sunrise from river Ganges. Morning after breakfast, sightseeing tour of the Temples of Varanasi including Durga Temple: Dedicated to Goddess Durga, consort of Lord Shiva. Bharat Mata Temple: This temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi and houses one of the most perfect relief of India carved out of marble. Tulsi Manas Temple: Built in white marble this unique temple has the whole of Ram Charit Manas (Ramayana) inscribed on its wall. Well laid out landscaping around the temple adds to its beauty and Banaras Hindu University. Rest of the morning at leisure to explore the oldest living city of the world. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath, the fabled place bear testimony to its great past where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples expounding the principles of Buddhism. DAY 10: VARANASI – KATHMANDU: This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Assistance will be provided upon arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight – Kathmandu. |
DAY 11: KATHMANDU: We will proceed on a sightseeing tour of Boudhanath and Pashupatinath, Boudhnath, the colossal Stupa is one of the largest in the world. This stupa has the all-seeing-eyes of the Buddha by king Mana Deva in expiation of his sins of the advice inset with prayer wheels. Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. The temple is built in Pagoda style and has gilted roof & richly carved silver door. Afternoon visit to the Bhaktapur (also known as Bhadgaon) is the home of medieval art & architecture. Bhaktapur was founded in the 09th century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at a height of 4600 feet above sea level. Visit the Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bhupindra Malla and The Nyatapola Temple. |
DAY 12: KATHMANDU: This morning take a half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city &Swayambunath, which is said to be2000 years old. The stupa, which forms the main structure, is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper guilt. Painted on the four-sided base on the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. The whole area round the stupa is an array of small stupas and temples. Evening sightseeing tour of Patan, an old Newar city includes the historic Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the sky piercing Temple of Teleju, the statue of Yogendra Malla and the old windows and carved balconies of wood, curio shops and bazaars. Return via the Tibetan Handicrafts and Refugee Center. Overnight – Kathmandu. |
