TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 01 – ARRIVAL / COLOMBO SIGHTSEEING: Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by our representatives. Assistance will be provided and you will be transferred to your hotel in Colombo. Check in at your selected Hotel. Afternoon proceed on a City Tour of Colombo. Return for overnight stay in Colombo. |
DAY 02 – COLOMBO / POLONNARUWA / SIGIRIYA or HABARANA: Breakfast and leave for Polonnaruwa the second capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries. Visit the Lankatilleke, Thuparama and Gal Vihare and also see the remains of the Royal Palace and Parakrama Samudra a huge man made water reservoir. Continue to Sigiriya or
Habarana and check in at your selected hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 03 – SIGIRIYA or HABARANA / DAMBULLA / KANDY: Breakfast at hotel and followed by a visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress and having climbed the rock you willencounter the remains of the Palace and its environs. En-route to Kandy visits the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple and then also visit a Spice Garden Matale before arriving in Kandy. Check in at your selected hotel in Kandy. In the afternoon witness a Kandyan Cultural Dance Performance followed by visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relics of Lord Buddha. Return to your hotel for the overnight stay. |
DAY 04 – KANDY SIGHTSEEING / NUWARA ELIYA: Breakfast at Hotel. This morning take the Upper Lake Drive and then visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Later visit a Tea Plantation and see women plucking the ‘Green Gold’ tea leaves and a factory whilst en-route to Nuwara Eliya. Afternoon tour of Little England. Overnight stay at your selected hotel in Nuwara Eliya |
DAY 05 – NUWARA ELIYA / UDAWALAWE: Breakfast and departure for Udawalawe via Ella. Check in at your selected hotel. Afternoon visit to Udawalawe National park by Jeep. See a vast array of animals including deer, peacock, elephant, wild buffalo and the lucky visitors may get to see a leopard or bear. Overnight stay at your hotel in Udawalawe. |
DAY 06 – UDAWALAWE / RATNAPURA / COLOMBO: Breakfast and proceed to Colombo. En-route visit “Athathurusevana” the Elephant Transit Home for caring and bringing up baby elephants found abandoned in the wild until released back to the forest. Also visit a Gem Mine at Ratnapura (time permitting). Return to Colombo or transfer to the airport for your flight home or extend your stay at a Beach Hotel of your choice. |
